No Beneficial Conclusion - Citizens Throughout the US Voice Concerns Over the Shutdown

US politicians from both factions are pointing fingers as thousands of federal staff face uncompensated time off and the closure drags on with no conclusion in prospect.

The Democratic Party have refused to support the GOP budget proposal unless lapsing healthcare subsidies which they claim many working families depend on are extended.

The Republican Party want Democrats to enact a temporary legislation first and then they can discuss the subsidies.

The GOP have 53 supporters, they must secure sixty to enact the measure. Is it that difficult to reach agreement over 7 votes so that US citizens avoid harm?

If this persists for an extended period, the bottom line is Americans are being harmed, American citizens are being touched by this and someone must do something to be the responsible party in the negotiations.

I believe sometimes lawmakers are so far away from the people, the common folk living their lives, so they forget what the challenge is like and I believe they must factor that in, notably if it's 750,000 US citizens that are not getting paid.

That's a large group of citizens not getting paid, that's a lot of citizens not putting their income into the economy. Citizens are just being negatively impacted.

I'm nervous because there is no good outcome with the federal government being closed.

I'm presently at a juncture where I'm kind of concerned because federal closures hurt the public.

I'm going to be fine, but for everyone else who relies on the public services, who hopes to explore a public land or gallery, they're going to be impacted, if not currently, then in the coming days.

And that is unacceptable.

The point when it goes too far is when the Democrats start losing the PR battle, if the narrative changes to faulting the left then it might be time to call it quits.
